Well, that's different from most posted here... should be a joy to carry.

super light

If you really, really want to go the super light route you need to do this

12 inch Volquartsen carbon barrel (UK legal) threaded for a Moderator/Can/Silencer UK legal!

Ruger 10/22 paddle stock, I believe its lighter than a Choate?, Volq hammer and Ironwood Mag release, titanium firing pin & titanium extended cocking handle, Wolf spring kit and NDS sights, I beleive i was the 1st and may well be the only person in the UK with these NDS sights- i kind of went anti-scope for a while - just got fed up with all the adjusting and constant re-zero-ing

It weighs in at 2.6 pounds!

For a .22lr it actually exhibits some recoil with Mini mags!

My superlite wears just the syn buttstock of a takedown model. Someday I'll think of some kind of 'nosecap' for it. A std action with any barrel dia will bolt right in.

No scope and carbon wrap barrel make it ridiculously light!

I have a standard 10-22 factory 16.5" barrel that I put in an Archangel QBD stock. With a Williams Ace in the hole sight and a TRS25 it weighs 5 lbs. A light weight barrel could drop in another 6-8 oz. It breaks down to 17" for transport. LOP is on the short side but it does work. The picture is when I had the scope on it. It now has a TRS25.

if you are looking for a light weight competition style rifle for Steel Challenge type events, I used a BRN22 in a PMACA lightweight chassis, standard AR collapsible SOCOM rear and Hogue hand grip... BX trigger group, Ruger bolt and charging handle, a 1913 rail section off the nose of the chassis for an angled fore grip... Vortex Venom on YHM 1/2" riser... swings very quick
