Just got a trigger pull scale and tested my two Henry's, Frontier and Youth model. The Frontier I have hone to a polish and moly lube every contact points and is at a nice 2lbs 5oz. The Youth I have not really done anything to it and that one seems to be at 2lbs 8oz.

Nice that they are under 3 but will work on them some more once hunting season is over.

Good work on your trigger. My Frontier came with a 3.5lb trigger pull and a little creep. Used a stone to polish the seer and the hammer notch. This took it down to 2.5lbs and removed almost all the creep.

I can live with 2.5 but will try to get it down a bit more. Pretty happy though, nice to finally have a scale to do it.

It should be fairly easy to get your trigger pulls down to 2lbs but it will not take much stone work to get there. On my second session my trigger pull was down to about 2.2lbs so I added some washers to the hammer spring. This increased the pull to 2.5lbs and gave me a faster lock time.

I like that the lock time is faster. It seemed to me that the hammer fell very slow before I did that. I think it helped my off hand shooting. I wish there were more after market parts for henry's so i could play with them more.
