Some so-so photos of my GECO

It is a rectangular port rifle.
Fairly low serial number 5520.
Can anyone tell me by looking at the proof marks or otherwise where it was manufactured?

More photos of the GECO

Hopefully some of these are better.
Bluing is rough so I think I'll just keep it as it is and use it as a shooter.
I think in the near future I'm gonna take all of my single shot .22's to the range for a single shot day.
Some of my other single shot's I can think of at the moment, a store brand Mossberg 320, 2 Mossberg 26's, one is a store brand, Marling 100 & it's 103.18 store brand sister, 2 Remington 510's ( one patent pending), a Winchester 67A and my Clyde Hart built Winchester 52D

You did a good job on the rifle.

GECO is short for Gustav Genschow& Co. It’s thought by Robert Simpson , author of “Training Rifles of the Third Reich” that GECO did not make the earlier rifles but purchased them from a consortium located in Thuringia, A state of Germany. This consortium made dsms for several companies who had their name stamped on the rifles. I think your serial would put your rifle in this group.
