Sad News - Charlie Ritchie Sr. has passed . . .

He was the founder and Editor of the outdoors magazine The Backwoodsman, a magazine with many outdoor activity related projects and hobbies. Many of the articles are written by the readers, who have plenty of knowledge to share. Not a coffee table glossy cover gun rag. It is the only outdoor magazine I still subscribe to.

He will be missed - Rest In Peace Charlie.

Well, horsehockey!

I'll read that in my next subscription issue.

Condolences to the family.

Got my magazine yesterday and there on the cover was 1941 - 2021
Jr. wrote a good article on him and let us know that he will carry on.

The BEST magazine there is.

Thanx for the notification!
I used to subscribe, looked forward to each issue and ended up with more potential projects than I will ever get to but still have the mags.
Few modern publications have near the content.

Sorry to learn of Charlie's death. I got my Backwoodsman copy yesterday and read about it.

Looking forward to the March/April 2022 issue which will be dedicated to him.

I've been subscribing to BW for a long time and have every issue that I've ever read. It's the only magazine I keep.

R.I.P. Charlie.

I also have subscribed for many years and we had some correspondence some years back. He was always happy to get letters and allowed us to get our suggestions into print. A gentleman and an asset to us all.

Can't say I've ever seen the magazine but I'll look for it the next time I'm in a place with a magazine rack.

RIP Charlie.

I had a subscription for the Backwoodsman for many years some time ago.

Sorry to hear Mr. Ritchie passed.

I take the Backwoodsman, Frontiersman, Fur-Fish-Game, and American hunter.
After I'm through with them I give them to a young man who shares them with his buddies. Spreading the word.
