Just walked out the door with a little stainless steel marlin for under 100$ from the clearance rack. Throw on a laser cut fleur de lisle stock and still be 1500$ ahead.

Is 2004 collector vintage? Will a jm marlin hold value long term?

Its kissing cousin close in price to a vudoo in 22wmr. In 50 years I'll be 85, would I rather shoot/own/collect/passdown a marlin from my freshman year in college or a vudoo......

Gonna go with don't drink and gunbroker on that one.

Marlins have been steadily rising for quite some time, I know I have collected them for many years now.

And with Marlin being essentially gone now, after the Remington takeover and now the Ruger one. Marlins I consider "real" JM ones will really be increasing. But that is ridiculous. Something has to funny here, and I do not mean just the bidders
