Made by whom ?
AMT's attempt didn't last all that long. Probably spent too much effort in litigation.

The AMT AutoMag II is a 22LR handgun sized 22 mag pistol. They are well made with a utilitarian finish in stainless steel. They are smaller than a 1911 and don't really look at all like the 1911. That cartridge in that gun is a flame thrower in normal use. Even in daylight the flame out of the barrel is visible and the barrel is longer rather than shorter.

I recently picked one up from a poster here. I always wanted one after seeing one fired in a indoor range some 2+ decades ago. While not "rare", in my circles they were not seen very often for sale. I expressed my long lived desire to own one here in a post and the poster came forward offering me one, barely used, with a spare magazine to boot.

AMT AutoMag II is fun to shoot even if the ammo is a bit expensive. The trigger is good, the accuracy adequate, the ERGO's fine, and the look unique..perfect for me.

I have a Rock Island Armory 1911 in 45 ACP as does my son-in-law. I found them viable 1911's.

Is $600 too much. How badly do you want it?

Being practical 22Mag has several drawbacks:

1). Ammo may be hard to find
2). Ammo is EXPENSIVE for what it is
3). For pistol target shooting you are better served by a good 22LR

But none of those limitation stopped me from buying the AMT AutoMag II. Some find 22 Mag a better small varmint round with very deadly force, if you are into hunting (not me, I just thought the AMT AutoMag II was cool).

If you really want it then $600 should be no problem.

For the RRA XT22, did you try Gallery of Guns or Buds Guns? How about Cabellas or Bass Pro Shop or Dicks? Did you do a Google search?

RRA guns are pretty common.

If it was the AMT AutoMag II. you want...forget it. It is out of production and the company(s) gone. You'd have to find a used one.

The RIA XT22 magnum has been supposed to come to market for a long time now and still isn't available, last I spoke to a by one from there they said mid 2017 and here we are ar almost the end if the year and still don't see them, so I wouldn't hold my breath for one anytime soon. I had the XT in 22 and it was a fine pistol
