You sure have been putting them down this Spring.

A six-pack is kinda the Goldilocks rodent harvest. Enough to give you a warm fuzzy feeling but not so many that processing them becomes a chore.

Yeah, and reb is just getting warmed up for the season. Six for me is a darn good day. It's also our daily limit in Iowa.

Kinda slow this morning and wet Did manage to get 6. Heard several but they seemed to be sitting tight, I am sure they are mommas in their den trees.

Your right I guess there is 7 I am reverting back to my youth I have always loved lever guns. I would love to find a Winchester 94/22 user. I think I have had 4 or 5 of the little Brownings over the years the problem with this one is the trigger must be 6 pounds . It is pretty accurate.

To start I guess it is a fact I am getting oldAlthough I can see them thru the scope and hit mostly where I aim but I am starting to have a lot of trouble finding them. If they do not land belly up I am having trouble finding them in the thick underbrush. I killed 6 in a small area from on spot and could not find two of them, I also killed two out of a big hickory that the squirrels were coming out of to a Mulberry, found 1. The hunting in these particular woods is always tough a lot of under canopy (Mulberries) and then big hickory, oak and pecan.

22 man, wouldn't you love to have the days back when farmers let cattle run through the timbers? It kept the undergrowth down really well.

I have lost a couple over the last few years for some of the same reasons.

Maybe it's time to consider hunting with a dog?

That's funny. In my neck of the woods the "Doritos" are the Whitetails and Canada Geese.
