Which rings for Tikka?

Probably not going to add the rail, just use rings. 1" scope. Probably Weaver V-16.

What brand and height do you recommend or are using?

Just plain Jane, Redfield medium or low would work just fine

Will Redfield mount to a 11mm rail?

Use the UTG style adapters and you can use whatever style picatinny or weaver rings you want. I would say with the adapters you could use a medium set of rings. I would guess something around 1" up from the base to the middle of the rings. When I don't use a base these are the two routes I take.

UTG adapters.

BKL also makes nice rings that attach directly to the base. These come in two heights. Shown are the tall.

Have you seen the Sako Ring Mounts? They are the proprietary mounts for the Sako and Tikka 11mm rail. It's a clean look and they have the non-marring insert to protect your scope's finish.

I'm not sure if the LOW ring mount would work for your scope choice though.

Edit: From the bottom of the ring mount to the ring split line is 30mm or 1.18 inches high. I could not find info regarding the Objective outer max diameter. It does specify rimfire so maybe that's a clue?

I believe those are for centerfire rifles only.

Thank you for the catch. I do believe the Tikka centerfire rail measures 16.5mm whereas the Tikka rimfire rail is 11mm. If I'm not mistaken, the ring mounts in the link should work. But, I always appreciate a second look. I'd hate to have someone misspend 70 bucks.

I used Weaver #61 bases (48504) and Hawke Low rings (22112) to mount a Nikon P3 3-9x40 scope that I replaced with a Weaver Grand Slam 4-16x44 scope. No problems with clearance.

Check out the Talley lightweight one piece rings I do believe they make a set especially designed for the t1x. I like them because they mount directly to the receiver and there's no bases to mess with.

Some folks just seem to have to make life complicated, Warne 7.3 22 rings work wonderfully.

Which rings for Tikka?

What’s wrong with Walmart .22 weaver rings?
Mounted and lapped. A .22 only needs 20# of torque.

Pretty sure they are talls but not positive, I have a pile of both mediums and talls.

I used the Sako Rings and bases mounting a Weaver Grand Slam 4-16x44. Really like the looks of them on the Tikka. As been mentioned there are all kinds of rings you can use. Just depends on what looks good to you.

I have used the Warne rings, the dovetail clamp at the bottom of them can be turned 180 degrees, one side is designed to fit a 3/8 dovetail and when turned the other way they fit the 11mm dovetail - just follow the instructions. They are a well made quality item made in the U.S.A. With a 40mm objective mediums gave more than adequate clearance.

On the other hand I also used a set of the Weaver rings for a while and they worked just fine too, but they are not the same quality as the Warne.
