Scoping a 455 - ring height

I am looking at putting a Leupold 2-7x28 on my 455FS. Can I get away with medium ring (either Burris or Leupold) or do I need high rings to get enough clearance? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

You should be fine ...

... with medium height rings, Greg. You need high for sure when you have a 50mm bell.

I ordered a 455 Trainer and I'm probably going to put a Nikon Target EFR on that one. I figured I would need high rings on that one. I am glad I can get away with the mediums on my FS/Leupold combo...looks a bit classier with the smaller bell scope on the Mannlicher stock. Thanks for the info!

See chart on sticky for rings on CZ rimfires and read through various posts to see what others are using. HTH

Scope referenced has an outside objective bell measurement of about 42mm. See if that will clear the iron sights.

From what I can tell, the bolt handle clearing the ocular bell will be more of an issue than the relatively small objective bell clearing the barrel.

The objective bell measurement is 1.4" = 35.5mm, specified here on the Leupold website.
