Good shooting Tom, and good to see yet another Ruger owner getting in on the action. We get some different eye candy with many entries it seems.

That five yards doesn't seem like much.... until you add it to the ten yards. Then those targets start getting a bit tricky. I'm hoping I can crack 200 on the next round at 15 yards.

Dennis,

I'm on board with your discretion to change any rules you want. You got the ball rolling, and with further input this match will end up fine tuned for everyone.

Though I admit with people already shooting great.... one handed might be a good handicap for them. I'm interested to see where the scores go once they shoot two handed.

So I took advantage of some beautiful North Coast weather, and went out to Dad's place and took a few shots, but my heart really wasn't in it, and the Force obviously wasn't with me. Targets 2 through 5 shot one (dominate) hand. Probably didn't make much difference. Hopefully this woeful score will encourage other not very good shooters to participate, otherwise, I'm gonna be perpetually embarassed.

Beautiful day today except for a little wind , I thought I’d give it a try with my Beretta M9-22 . This is a great little pistol that functions with all ammo from standard velocity to stingers .
I’ll have to drag out some of my other pistols and give this a try . And compare how each of them do .

Fun fact: a person can almost completely forget how to shoot in pistol in one winter.

**** 25 Yd IRONS PRACTICE **** 3.12.21
SCORE: 188-0X
NAME: zukiphile,55
LOCATION: Ohio
GUN: 22/45 Blued
SIGHTS: fixed
AMMO: Agu.SESV
INDIV. TGTS SCORES: 33-0X, 40-0X, 39-0X, 42-0X, 34-0X

All 25 got onto the paper if not within a scoring ring.

Excuses: Tried a four pound trigger and didn't love it. Stock grips are terribly skinny.

Do you still have the score for the fifth? If so, post it and I'll put it in. If not, do you want the 4 bull score posted? It's better than my last 5 bull score Let me know.
Later,
Dennis

.

What about thirty years?

I wanna play too! Picked up an new almost unfired High Standard Sport King M from 1981-82 the other day. It didn’t make it home without running a magazine through if to see how we were going to get along. Had to figure out POA for fixed sights but the first ten rounds looks promising at ten yards. Have five bull bench targets and a pistola to break in.

I’ll be back as I try to figure pistol shooting again.

That's very nice. I had a High Standard for a short time in the 90s. It was so nice, I felt guilty about subjecting it to my daily use. Someone offered me more than I could resist.

I've gotten by with Rugers for a few decades so I think that's the rut I'm in.

I need a clarification on posting scores , please .
The rules say , one iron sighted score and one scoped score per “range “.
I posted a score shot with my Beretta M9-22 , but have a few other pistols that want to play .
Should I change my Beretta score to a “practice “ score and once I’ve given the others a try , pick my best score for “ entry “ ?
Also, what does “per range “ mean ? Thanks
