Might want to think about adding a can of Seafoam if there's no mileage planned for the next 9 mo.. JMO

$2.64 for premium here still. Travelled 1000+ miles this week and cheapest premium found was $2.77. They try jumping prices locally the Murphy’s station just stays out at $2.08 reglar and $2.64 Premium, has remained the same since Thanksgiving. All about greed and competition.

When gas hit $4 a gallon 11 years ago, it pushed me to my Prius. Best car I ever owned. $20 fill up last 3 weeks. My wife will be crying filling her BMW with premium which I believe is over $3 a gallon now. Back in December I was doing some tax harvesting and sold my oil stock. Of course itís been up a bit. I have 30 days to jump back in. Have to think about that one.

Oof. A thread like this reminds me to appreciate my employer for providing ethanol-free gas for free.

There's still leaded gasoline in use as av-gas. You can tell it by the exhaust smell. Almost "sweet" in a way. For me it's the smell of freight and groceries delivered by a DeHavilland Beaver. I kinda like it, even though I try to avoid it, knowing it can't possibly be good for me.

I grew up in South Africa. We had gasoline supposedly produced from coal (Sasol), and it was significantly better (butt dyno) than other brands. I don't think it's really produced directly from coal - they have offshore drilling around Africa's coasts.

I was street racing (motorcycles) back then, and it made a lot of difference. Car guys also swore by it.

Here in Central Texas gas n diesel have steadily increased this year...I did not see the anticipated spike immediately after inauguration. Most of our current increases are due to extreme weather twice this year.... Reg $2.38.9 and Premium $2.69.9 Most diesel is not usable last two weeks due to no anti gell additives...Locally the Diesel trucks are king with Kids and Ranchers...MOST were sidelined during the blizzard.

Going up here in Tn. Also.

How high's the water, mama?
Two feet high and risin'
How high's the water, papa?
She said, it's two feet high and risin'

We can make it to the road in a homemade boat
That's the only thing we got left that'll float
It's already over all the wheat and the oats
Two feet high and risin'

How high's the water, mama?
Three feet high and risin'
How high's the water, papa?
She said, it's three feet high and risin'

Well, the hives are gone, I've lost my bees
The chickens are sleepin', in the willow trees
Cow's in water up past her knees
Three feet high and risin'

How high's the water, mama?
Four feet high and risin'
How high's the water, papa?
She said, it's four feet high and risin'

Hey, come look through the window pane
The bus is comin', gonna take us to the train
Looks like we'll be blessed with a little more rain
Four feet high and risin'

How high's the water, mama?
Five feet high and risin'
How high's the water, papa?
She said, it's five feet high and risin'

Well, the rails are washed out north of town
We gotta head for higher ground
We can't come back till the water goes down
Five feet high and risin'

Well, it's five feet high and risin'
