I shoot LH and I had that one on my watchlist, but I knew it would sell for a big number. I'll take this one and be happy.

Very nice, sir. I, too, think the Americans to be the purtiest.

@redz, congratulations on what you wanted and have a lot of enjoyment! $$$ is not a factor, if that is what you want.

The 452 American in a wonderful rifle. I only have an American in 17hm2 but it will never be leaving the Hurd.

I agree , if you can afford it, find what you want and spend the money. I absolutely have no regrets.

A NIB lefty is really rare, though. The nearest I have is one with about 100 rounds through it, complete with the box and all paperwork. Not on offer for sale, though. Some pictures to keep lefty-searchers encouraged...

I don't feel so bad about paying $950 shipped for the lefty 22 I got a month ago after seeing what that gun sold for. I did better on the lefty 17HMR I bought two years ago, NIB for under $500.

My 452 .22 is hands down the best .22 rifle I've ever owned, and I've owned quite a few.

If you are like me and a lot of other people I know, you will be glad the bolt is on the "wrong" side.

I would also say you got a great deal. When these were selling for $400 I felt they were under-valued, and the price of many things has been climbing in the last year, and especially anything gun-related.

452's are great guns, and it was flat-out stupid of CZ to stop production of them, but they did, and we have to make the best of it.

@redz, I found with mine with both action screws set at pretty much the factory 25 inch pounds and barrel free floated, it has the best accuracy. If I did any bedding, it would probably make it worse at 100 meters. That is how accurate it is with TAC 22. It is in the barrel harmonics and ammo you choose.

Don't let it set around and do plenty of target shooting to really enjoy it! Join a gun club range, if one is near you and join a club sport, if available.

I've never had a rifle shoot worse from a good bedding job. While I don't think all rifles necessarily need to be bedded, it does help to keep them consistent IMHO.

I hope to find out soon how it shoots. I have a scope and rings on the way. I'm going to try and adjust the trigger a bit. Right now it is at 3-1/2 pounds. Good enough for hunting but I'll see if I can make it better. Thanks for the suggestions guys.
