Ok guys I need some help deciding which I should get...I already have 3x CZ 17hmr rifles (452 FS, 455 FS, 455 Trainer) but no 452 American in 17hmr or I could go for a 527 in 22 Hornet...but I already have a 527 American in Rem 222 which I could use light loads to equal the 22 Hornet. To be honest...I have also been looking at a T-bolt Varmint in 17hmr.
Sorry guys I am going a round in circles...I really don't need anything.
If you're already reloading for the 222, a 22 Hornet would be an excellent next step. Components are relatively inexpensive and available. And, in the Reloading forum you'll find some excellent advice on what works well.

What say you ??
Thanks for you advice

Why not both? Lol Since you are a FS fan,and you already have 3 17hmr's,I would go 22hornet. I have one myself. You can reload it in times when you can't find ammo,it is cheap to reload, recoil is next to nothing, and it will handle larger game than the 17hmr will. The cz is also one of the more accurate rifles chambered for 22hornet.

If you like your 527 in 222, you will LOVE it in 17 hornet ! I was not overly impressed with it the first time out, but then thought about it and the second go around was amazed what it would do ! Same recoil as your 22 mag. and shoots like a lazer. Now if you are going to be reloading this little guy, lve heard they can be a pain.
I know you have CZ itis very bad. and Cz hasn't seen fit to come out with a model for the 17 wsm, but might want to consider waiting for them to come out with one like a lot of us here. WAIT JUST A MINUTE , was it you or that CB900F guy that was trying to start a rumor a few months back, of a new model coming out that could be a 17 wsm ?
Do you like cleaning guns? I mean, is the only reason you shoot them is so you can get to the cleaning? If so, you'll absolutely love the .17 Hornet. And cleaning the sub-.22's is so much fun in & of itself. You'll think you've died & gone to heaven with a higher speed version than the HMR. The .204 could cause you to have heart attack from the sheer excitement of de-griming it, don't go there.
My suggestion is the .22 Hornet, & the K-Hornet at that.
Thanks alot NoNewTricks, you may have just cost me more money!
You just had to post that pic! Lol. Now I may have to buy another one myself! I sure like the looks of that lux!
Wonderdog1...Sir if I remember correctly it was CB900F that was talking about the number of people on CZ forum that one day and that number was 4xx not a 453 or 452 but it was close so between CB, Jeff Miller and I we all three were making it sound like Jeff was testing a proto type new CZ rifle and it took off for a few hours.
Any way thanks guys for your advice...but I am still lost...I did not even think of the 17HH...I was wanting something that was more fun than a 17hmr or 22mag...with all the members here that have the 22 Hornet like Vincent...and others that have the perfect load for this. I got to shoot Jeff Millers 17HH late one night...when I went for a visit. Thanks Jeff
For those of you that have both the 17 and 22Hornet which one do you shoot more and why??
