I bought one the other day in decent shape, no checkering on it though. $250, it had a plastic insert to make it a single shot also. Were these common? I haven't had a chance to shoot it, were they known to be very accurate? Thanks, Todd

Depending on the condition I would say you bought the T-Bolt right!
You should be pleased with the accuracy as well

Browning produced (2) models of the "T" bolt. Grade#1 and grade#2 inright hand and left handed.I own the Grade #2 in left hand. The difference between the two are:
1. The grade #1 stock isn't checkered and the wood isn't as nicely finished.
2. The grade # 1 has a 22" barrel and the Grade #2 has a 24" barrel.
That is the only differences that I know of between the two. The insert to convert the rifle into a single shot was geared toward teaching youngsters to shoot and safe handling with the idea focused on Safety. The Browning also has a plastic Peep sight. All in all,a nice package.(tip) remove the action from the stock and inspect the receiver and barrel for RUST.These rifles are notorius for having rust. Hope this helps.I fyou need a copy of the owners manual,e-mail me and I will make you a copy and send it to you.--Rod
