The whole idea is that some talk isn't suited to the stocks and barrels, nor the action and SURE doesn't belong in the "Ultimate" forum, so this is just kind of a catch-all.. not necessarily stock, but not fitting into the others, either.

By rights, the "Ultimate" forum should be reserved for the.... really.... neat guns..

The new forum is a welcome addition. Probably the best place for a new 10/22
to start. Good idea.

My last 10/22 stayed "factory stock" for exactly the amount of time it took me to open the box and find a screwdriver......

You could talk about the condition of the box

My New 10/22 is sitting at the store waiting, hoping, no praying that i wander in there one day and buy it. (Strat even tried to say he would get all the parts together for me) You can't convert me that easy though.

ok, ok. i happen to own a stock wally world special stainless. only because i haven't been able to decide what to do with it. my inclination is to put a 'running boar' barrel on it, and then ship it off to randy at cpc for a complete tune-up. i'll keep the stock - stock, but i have a couple of stock ruger stocks that i can play with to dress it up.

is that what this forum's supposed to be about, or do i get kicked out 'cause i want to change the barrel? i've been playing with the stock barrel, and it's just a waste of time.

In about a week or so I am going to be the new proud onwer of a NEW 10/22lr.
I found one for 189$. It's the one with the black plastic stock. I am going to get a new stock for about 1-200$. So I think I am making out purrty good on this buy. i was using my dads 10/22 before and now I ma hooked since I maxed the black death target with it.

Marine.... I would say post here until you have converted it to a wild child. Until your gun is something to drool over, it belongs here. It's no big deal. It just saves the "ULTIMATE" forum for ULTIMATE guns... just that simple !

for those that are having trouble figuring this out, holler.....someone will be along to explain it to you.
