Odd you should mention that...

At this point this has turned into a long term test/build. All I'd like to see is repeatable accuracy. It's nothing if it doesn't produce round after round.

And to your question, yes, I've added Pike Arms Barrel bands to each rifle (AND) swapped them in the stocks.)

I'll post some results of those changes soon!

Thanks for the support, if I've missed anything else PLEASE let me know. Input from folks like you reinforces that all the work/expense was worth it.

What a great thread, and conclusion. Should have found it sooner.

Delighted with our build, love the 10/22 we ended up with. You visited the thread, thank you, and yes the trigger was a big deal.

Ours is pretty stock in that the receiver and bolt are factory. The Pike Arms barrel seems to be pretty similar to standard.

They are great little rifle that is for sure.

Can't thank you enough for that. I literally had to pare things down, the size of the project was huge, many thousands of rounds were shot, I have a stack of targets in my garage. I kept notes on every one, weather, wind humidity, ammo lot #'s etc. I am so glad you found some good stuff from it. Makes it all worthwhile! THANK YOU!

I've read the first few pages and am in the process of building a 10/22 from the ground up, I will be referencing your steps but the plan is pretty basic - some stuff I have, some I am aquire as i go

HAVE
Boyd's Tactical Stock with .1" channel
Bipod
Brownell's bare receiver with picatinny rails
Simmons scope
Offset base and rings

NEED
Trigger Group
Bolt and Charging Handle (ordered on 10/22)
Barrel (ordered on 10/22)

EDIT
I picked up a Fedderson tapered 16.25" barrel and JWH custom bolt combo on Flash Sale

I might use the trigger group from my 10/22 TD (with KIDD kit) until I get another

Once I have all the pieces and parts, I will follow your meticulous steps in proving it out

Here I go again .. many many many thanks to Flysalot.
I've started another build.
But I wanted to re-read this thread AGAIN.
So with a CPC'D barrel.. a JWH bolt.
Brownells receiver.. TI barrel band.(ordered)
CPC trigger.
(I already had this stuff except for the receiver) and barrel band.
I should have a good shooter.
Flys has been a fantastic teacher.
The bolt work results was amazing.
And I'm absolutely totally in agreement with Flysalot about Rugers barrels.
