Six inch, six shot 617.

By coincidence, I just bought one. Very accurate, even in DA.

Could you post a link to that AR article? I can't seem to find it online

A top-break .22LR DA revolver would be fun, sort of an updated H&R Sportsman.

I'd like Ruger to do a wood gripped all stainless .22LR revolver in 3 or 4 barrel lengths, but if they won't, I'd take a Smith. S&W doesn't make an all stainless J-Frame .22LR, so a .22LR model 60 Chief's Special. If only one barrel, a 2 1/4".

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding you but, a Model 63 is a all stainless steel, J frame, .22lr.

Oops, you're right, I should have elaborated. A fixed sight, snub barrel all stainless J-frame.

You were describing a Smith 696 until you said fixed sight K frame. I don't think that gun was a huge seller for them, but they are a great carry gun for those who like big bore revolvers as carry weapons.

Cool

I have a model 317 (3" version) that I had a stainless cylinder from a model 63 installed into (thank you again, S&W).

It turned out to be a pretty neat little gun.

I think it would be great if they made it a standard offering in the catalog. It really splits the difference between the two guns quite nicely.

5 shot K-Frame .44 Special

I would really like a 5 shot K-Frame .44 Special with a 3" barrel and fixed sights. And no built in lock.

A J-Frame .22LR with 5" barrel and target sights. IMO it would be the ideal trail gun.
