!0-22 Magnum Charging Handle

I just called Ruger to order a 10-22 Magnum Charging handle/guide rod/spring assembly and the lady told me that I couldn't order that part because the gun was no longer in production. She went on to tell me that I could send the 22 Mag back to Ruger and they would replace it with a new 77-22 Magnum!

Someone with a 10-22 Magnum basket case might consider having Ruger replace it with a new 77-22.

I told her that I just wanted the handle and she finally checked inventory and found that the handles are available for $13.47 plus $3.50 for shipping.

I didn't ask, but I had the impression that it was at no cost.

That is pretty obsurd. A gun is no longer in production so they will replace it with a completely different model, but not offer any parts support for the original gun? I mean we're not talking about some obscure model from 50 years ago or anything. Pretty scary prospect considering they could drop or replace any model at any time.

Of course there are other sources for parts, but the general attitude really shakes my respect for the company.

Perfectly fine

Although not posted up onto the website, we now carry a MAGNUM Charging handle assembly in ALL of our popular designs and colors, and even an all steel version as well, and the stainless rod and Progressive soring work a lot better to balance the cycling of the action. Just ask if you need one, 42.96

most of the time when a gun is out of production they will sell all the parts they have left to places like gun parts and they let them handle it,when the parts are gone it becomes a wall hanger/
