Has anyone seen, handled or built a short-barreled rifle (Form 1) utilizing the Nordic AR22 with a barrel length of no more than 6"?

I haven't, but I have an idea floating around in my head about making a supressed short-barreled do-a-muh-hicky.

Couldn't you just use a Ruger Charger to escape the SBR tax, then if you wanted a supressor you only owe the $200 for the tax on that?

You surely DO NOT want to do that! By adding a stock, you've just manufactured a short-barreled rifle - you'll owe Uncle Sam 10,000 clams and spend 10 years in a place where you really, reallydon't want to bend over to pick up the soap!

Not if it's under the limit for length, right? You can put a can on a pistol, no?

Length limit for what? Pistols have no length limits.

Sure, you can put a suppressor on a pistol - what I was referring to is a short-barreled rifle - a pocket-rifle, if you will. If you were to add a rifle stock to the Nordic AR22 "chassis" with a Charger pistol installed, you'd be manufacturing a SBR. To the best of my knowledge, there is no minimum length, or maximum length for that matter, on a pistol. A 16" barrel would look mighty strange on a pistol though!

You need to get one of the national match freefloat tubes that accept the handguards.

so putting something like this ( http://www.magpul.com/catalog/index....roducts_id=303 ) /Magpul MOE hand guard directly on isn't an option?

you have to have this national match tube that the handguard attaches to?

I can't attach a delta ring to the nordic chassis and call it done?

i really don't know too much about this. But it looks like I should be able to install a delta ring, the MOE handguard, then a handguard cap. Or something to hide the end of the handguard that a gas block would normally cover. Am I wrong?

MooCowliber,

Check out page one of this thread. There's a guy (Craiso) who stuck a hanguard on his, looks like what you wanted to do.

Let me know what you figure out, I am interested in maybe doing this to an Archangel if the project with the adapter works out.

I am looking at using MOE equipment myself. Someday I plan on using the Single Rail Gas Block .625 (YHM-9386A) for the FSB, shimming the bbl to secure it. My bbl is exactly 0.500 where the FSB sets, so it won't take much. Like my current rig, the cap must be secured with a screw to the FSB. This should be a great setup.

My Nordic...

Nordic kit on a basic 10-22... Magpul CTR stock, MIAD grip, Tactical Solutions threaded barrel with compensator, TacSol extended mag release, Tactical Innovations TI-25 mag, YHM 7" FF with a rail riser from RFC's own (sayers) properly fitted with 3 countersunk torx head screws anchored to FF. MI sling anchor, and a Pentax Game Finder Red dot... Shoots great!

looks like the Delta ring will work.
Problem is... the Barrel nut doesn't tighten down far enough to hold the forearm in place.
Sorry I can't really say much more on the subject.
I sold my Nordic kit and bought a Rock River Arms AR and put the stock on it.
Now I need a stock for my 10/22.

Nice job bush. That extended rail is crying out for a set of Magpul back-up sights.
