There is a online forum:
http://www.smith-wessonforum.com/

Does anyone belong to it? I signed up and got a e mail reply but I am still not able to post. It states "awaiting approval"
Never seen this on any forum I have joined????

I have centerfire revolverss and pistols and have some questions.

Yes I'm a member and you can get some good information on rimfire Smiths also. I been a member for so long I don't remember if I waited on approval or not. But they will get you approved and you should be able to post before to long.

Such a timely post!

I'm thinking about picking up a 327 JM model and hoped I could see what owners think about the 29oz weight in them before taking the plunge.

Thanks for the link!

Thumbs up S&w

Yep - Been a member there for a couple of years.

I didn't have to wait but, there is an awful lot of traffic there now. It's a very informative site. Especially if you're new to Smith's, as I was.
Be aware - it's an older crowd (like me) and sorta conservative (like me), with a sometimes tongue in cheek sense of humor (like me).
There's an incredible amount of information there, new people are welcomed graciously, and a lot of absolutely beautiful revolvers/guns.

Well I have all those "qualities" myself plus several SW handguns but am "still "awaiting approval".

For what, I have no idea.

I've been a member there since 2005 but I don't remember any approval process.
Things may have changed since then. Or it could be that new accounts takes manual intervention and nobody does it on the weekends?

I just searched their website for info on member approval but came up blank.

They do list [email protected] as a contact address, maybe you could e-mail them and find out......

There is a 'wait period' of about a day or so - should get an e-mail confirmation and a link to reply to which finalizes everything for you.

The registration usually approves in a few days. I believe some email addresses are banned due to problems with trolls, spammers, and mass emailers. IIRC, it's noted in the registration process.

no yahoo

I just tried to join the S&W forum and could not because they do not
allow yahoo users! I have never heard of such a thing as that.

Just grab a "Yahoo" or "Hotmail" account(or some other free account) and sign up.

I've been a member for a couple years. I can't remember a waiting period when signing up, but I did go through that when signing up for another forum. It took me more than a week on that one.

Worth it

It'll be worth it tho.

Obtaining another Email account is cheap compared to the type & abundance of material offered by the S&W Forum.
I had already purchased my first S&W, & needed some more info on the gun and accessories, when I found their forum. They also steered me toward the two more I bought recently.
If you're into S&W revolvers/auto's/longguns or intend to be, it's a very good Forum.
