Challenger II recoil spring and a ?

I want to get a new recoil spring for my Challenger II. Any ideas where I can find one? Only saw one place that might have them and the price is $20. A bit high I think.

Also does this pistol use a nylon recoil buffer? If so will one for a Buckmark work?

Thanks for any help.

I cut down a Buck Mark recoil spring for a Belgium Challenger.

I imagine you could do the same for a Challenger II.

Chim came up with the idea to trim down a Buck Mark buffer for the Belgium pistols. That may work for the Challenger II, also.

I had light strikes on mine so I replaced the Main springs. I have not had a misfire since I replaced the two main springs. The main springs were $6 each and the recoil spring was $12. The extractor spring and firing pin springs are $3 each. The main springs were so tight that I did not think they were going to fit. After some effort they did and worked great.

Anyway here is the only place I could find the springs needed for the Challenger pistols. I did not replace the recoil spring in mine though.
Here is the web site.

Mine does not take the buffer.
