Any Real Difference in Old vs New 10/22 Bolts ?

As far as OEM bolts I would say they are pretty much the same. I have some newer ones and a couple older ones and I can't tell any difference between the two.

Iirc there has been a prev thread c/w pics showing some small differences through the years but functionally they are interchangeable in the oem receiver.

My old bolts look as if they were forged or sand cast then machined. My newer bolts look like they are M.I.M.

I think you are right. I worked in the PM field for a wile they look MIM to me also.
