If you go to a doctor - prescribe Tramadol. I take 4 (30mg each) per day. Non-narcotic and some say addictive. I am not addicted and would gladly go off any pain med, but they help with my stenosis/back pain. Some insurance companies treat it like a narcotic. Good luck. I just threw mine out by slightly bending over Saturday - hurts like hell even with pain pills. I also work out every day - I do back extensions and it sometimes gives me a little relief.
Ever try one of those upside down machines that stretches your back?
Wish I could advise you buckweet. but unfortunately being a pharmacy tech I have to be careful what I say. I am asuming you are using Va doctors. unfortunately I know they cut out a lot of the heavy duty stuff. Not sure what your pain issue is but might try to get a tens unit issued.
Also for the arm chair pharmacist double check before you speak. Tramadol is a class 3 narcotic and it doesn't come in 30mg. Ol shooter nice research
Contains Acetaminophen, Aspirin and Caffeine. For me it works better than higher doses of Tylenol, ibuprofen or aspirin on anything that ails me.
Less potential harm to your kidneys too.

They say carrying good ammo and dumping Remington Golden Bulletts will make you look 10 years younger, loose 10 lbs and put you into a good rimfire rifle (a CZ) that's what I heard anyway
Ibuprofen if you can take it. Robaxin/methocarbamol muscle relaxers might help if muscle spasms aggravate inflammation. Same story for me, SOL on any opiods. Sometimes a run of steroids will help
I take 1000 mg acetaminophen plus 800 mg ibuprofen, together, two or three times a day, every day, depending on how bad I'm hurting, and I've done this for years with no ill effects. The combination helps with both pain and inflammation. I've spoken with my doctor many times about it and he's always told me that if my stomach and kidneys tolerate it ok, there's no harm in it. I've also had experience with opiods, prior to a total hip replacement, and don't ever want to do them again. Just my experience and $.02.
