New 457 Varmint MTR Match Complaint

Received my first CZ today.
Ran about 8 patches thru the barrel soaked in denatured alcohol till the patches were clean.

I hurried up and put a new 4-12x40 Nikon on her with JP adapters and Burris medium Signature Zee rings. Torked the base to 20. Rings to 15. After leveling and doing the plumb bob thing.

Took her out back and counted 27 Paces. +- 25 yards.
Set her on some bags on the golf cart seat and pulled the bolt to sight down the barrel.
Bulls eye is on the 3rd mildot down.
Fired 3 shots and all 3 went basically thru the same hole. Adjusted windage to right.
3 more..... thru the same hole. Adjusted to right and down.
3 more..... thru the same hole but now bulls eye, BUT. I'm using the 3rd mil dot down as the sight and not the cross hair.

My complaint. How are you supposed to sight this baby doll in when everything goes thru the same hole. I almost died laughing. Thinking about this post.
I have never seen a firearm this accurate out of the box. This is insane.
What a beautiful beast. I'm hooked. Tack driver for sure. I'm thinking about actually driving a tack.

The gun shop told me today that they had a 452 trainer and another CZ that sat around for about 3 months and then someone bought them both just the other day.
I almost cried.

Thank You, RFC, for showing me the correct way to mount a scope.
Can't wait till tomarrow.

Your post almost gave me a heart attack. I just got my MTR and sent less than 50 rounds down the pipe. I was impressed, didn't even try hard and the groups were much better than my usual with my 455 Varmint

And here you put "COMPLAINT" in your title

I'm more than impressed.
I've never seen anything like it.
While I was waiting for delivery, I was setting up a gong at 200 yds and spinners at 100.
I feel like a little kid with a secret.
Now I need an older CZ for my son.

I am infected.
The wife is complaining.
I've given up fishing.
Quit metal detecting.
I asked the gun dealer how I can buy another CZ without the wife knowing.
Another scope on the way. ( the 189.00 Bushnell... 6-24x50.)
Ordered high Burris signature Z rings.

Is there such a thing as a CZ rehab??
I see trouble brewing. I woke up last night at 2:30 thinking about the MTR.
Might hit up the Stop and Go for some CZ money.

This really sounds great. My MTR will be here on Thursday. I was planning on bedding the stock, but it really sounds like it may not need it. Probably will anyway, LOL. I ordered the Scar scope rail and the Yo-Dave trigger spring to get the trigger weight down for our bench silhouette competition. Have fun.

I do have a 452 Trainer and a 550 in 243 with the set trigger. Love them.

MTR

Saw pic of MTR almost a 18 months ago. WOW. Was able to get one from local gunshop approx one week ago. Traded a Trapdoor Springfield 45-70 even up.
Felt like a kid on Christmas day . Finally got to range last Friday . Again just like Christmas morning.
Two pound trigger pull out of box.
Shot at 50 yards and was impressed .
Been a hoot so far.
Enjoy

Looks like I now have a 10/22 and a CZ affliction to go along with my vintage 22 rifle collection, LOL.
