To big for a P22 but would be nice for rifles, they are 7 ounces in weight, 7.5 inches long and close to 1.5 inches wide.

I just thought I would share the pics and info as I think these things are cool looking, the first picture shows the paintball fake can next to a regular .22 fake can (thats 5" long and 1" wide)
It looks very real and tactical, is it made of 2 parts? The cylinder and the perforated sleeve?

You know Tactical innovations makes a solid aluminaum fake suppressor that looks just like their real ones (my buddy bought me one for my birthday last year).
It's pretty to look at.

the paintball fake can is actually 1 piece but it does look as though it is or at least should be 2 piece (fake can / shroud).

Yea the fake cans from tac inno are pretty nice, they have a larger inner hole size so they will work on larger caliber guns, not sure what calibers though, tac inno doesnt know either, lol .... other than tac inno's fake cans having the large inner hole, I like the ones I sell better as mine have the "knurled" ends that look like they unscrew

Here in Mexico we are not allowed to have the real thing! That’s the reason I am building me some.

Ok I just got the thread right, this pic are of the test piece of aluminum, I knurled the edge and machined a slot to make it look like it'll unscrew.

It can be a flash hider??

Any concern about the aluminum threads? I assume the fake can will loosen itself off just like a real one and thus require regular re-tightening...

right. i couldn't possibly fathom why someone would want a fake suppressor. but i guess if that's what someone wants to spend their money on, then more power to them.

Chips, sadly here in Mexico we can't have the real thing, so that is the best next thing.

not to hi-jack this thread, but what are you allowed to own? i've always been under the impression that mexican nationals didn't have much in the way of gun rights.

Regarding Guns any revolver .38 special or less, not including .357.

Semi-Autos .380 acp or less

Rifles is a little more complicated, no carbines, .223 only bolt action, and nothing larger than .7mm, some exceptions can be done if you can prove the need for a larger caliber, like African hunts.

Shotguns 12ga or less, with a length of more than 25” barrel.

Obviously no full auto of any kind.

All guns most be register with the defense secretary, and you need a special permit to be able to transport them and it is only for 5 states, no CHL.

If you want I can send you samples in 1/2 X 28 and in M12 X 1, just send me your address by e-mail and as soon as I get them anodized I'll send them.

oh, yes. it's an NFA item, so it takes either a BATF form 4 or a form 1 depending on whether or not you're building it or buying it, and a $200 fee. the funny thing is that countries that have firearm laws much more restrictive than the US are very lax on supressors/moderators.
