Can anyone out there please measure a 17 Cal rifles center to center stock screws for me on their 17 Cal Browning TBolt (post 2007) model?
Reason being, I just came into a 22LR and want to purchase a Boyd stock for it, because the one on the gun is currently the composite, which makes the gun to light for hole punching for my liking.
On the Boyd sight, they state their stock is for the 17 Cal.
I contacted Browning , and they said it's the same part number for the 22LR or 17cal. And the stocks are the same.
The rub is, Boyd's sites says the center to center spread is 1.74"
My 22" spread is 2.5
Can someone measure there spread on their 17 Cal for me.
I'm betting it's 2.5, and Boyd's spec is wrong.
Only difference I can see is the square hole where the mag inserts.
Any help with this delema would be appreciated.

I just took my two T-Bolts and miked them , One being a 17HMR walnut sporter and the other T-Bolt is a synthetic stocked 22lr edition. Both did measure the SAME - 2.45" Both are the new style Helix mag T-Bolts.
The 17HMR is about 7 years old and the 22lr is only 1 year old.
I hope this helps you!

Thank you for the info. My thoughts were confirmed. Closer to 2-1/2 that 2-3/4.
I forwarded your information to Boyd's, and they are currently looking into it. I'll re-post when I hear back from them.

I was measuring from center to center. If one measured to the inside or outside of the Screw "head'' it would be different.
