Mossberg Patriot Rifles

Mossberg is announcing their new Patriot rifle line at Shot Show. Not many details out yet, but the line will include 50 (yes 50) new models, and will list price between about $380 and $580, IIRC. There are a couple of pics floating around on the Web, and they look kinda nice. Traditional looking bolt action hunting rifles that come in walnut, black and camouflage.

Screw em... A shot gun should not exceed 300 bucks. It's marketing hype. Find a nice used one.

Edit: I mean for a basic shotgun, it should not exceed 300 bucks. I mean, some of the crap A LOT of these companies come out with is NOT worth the money, mostly gimmicks and looks. If company A can produce a reliable shot gun and sell it retail for 200 hundred bucks, whay can't company B be competitive? Or am I wrong?

Oh, and "Patriot"... How quaint... lol Love the names these marketers come up with just to make a sale, playing on people's sentimental values and gimmicks... I sure wish I had the will to start a company, I would nver allow it...
