A buddy of mine is thinking of building an AR with an 17HM2 chamber and he has some 17 Aguila on hand. I know it runs in bolt guns, but has anyone tried it in a semi-auto?

It should run just fine. Likely the accuracy won't be great but maybe it will?

I shoot it through my mark n 717m2 and it runs fine. I have shot a few through my savage a17hm2 and with a full mag it worked fine until the last 3-4 shots and then it would stovepipe and not feed.

Ounce upon a time I had a Clark barrel chambered in 17Aguila for a 10/22. It was and has been the only barrel I've ever seen with a feed ramp made for a 10/22. Fed flawless but not so much in my VQ barrel unit.

I had a Clark barrel also that shot Agulia excellent until I bought a different lot of ammo. Terrible. Bad QC I guess. I haven't found any since that shot worth a darn.
