This must be a regional issue. I've been shipping and receiving a lot of stuff over the last few weeks. The midwest is hopeless, the west coast as far inland as Montana and south as far as Texas seem to be fine. Anything easy coast or midwest is a no go, delays coming up on weeks to months.

Local p.o. is the same as always, 2 tellers are great and one is a horrible person. Thats been the case for years.

Walmart says shipped 12/18, USPS says haven't seen it. Printing a label doesn't mean WM actually handed it off. WM sent a email saying I'd get it by 12/24, USPS said 12/26. Some of the delays may not be the post office.

I'm happy to be patient with delivery. It's when the same "In transit to the next destination" message repeats for 6 days I wonder when they'll start searching for their lost truck....

Package in question should be delivered tomorrow, now that I've asked them where it is.

Its my wife's fault. She has outgoing mail 3/5 day week.

If I’m not mistaken all of the UP’s mail comes through some top secret warehouse in Kingsford before scattering to places unknown. It can now be seven miles away for a week before going to the Iron Mountain post office a day or two before delivery.

Usta be able to count on a package arriving at Oshkosh hub at 10pm being trucked north for delivery next day. Then they added Green Bay into a stop in past few months. The truckers hauling mail up here have it rough delivering to all the local PO’s in winter months. Has to be stressful going snowblind and busting drifts day in and day out all night. I’ve been there when all you see is big snowflakes hitting the windshield. When you stop and close your eyes all you see is snow and spinning.

We are fortunate that they kept all the little PO’s open in secluded little towns throughout the north!

Heres one of my recent USPS deliveries -

Im in Ohio

Package ordered from seller in Toledo Ohio on the 11th.
Last update on my package is my package is now in Pontiac Michigan on Dec 12 listed as 'Processed through USPS Facility'

And they trust them with mail in ballots ?

I could have drove to Toledo to pick it up myself by now.

Rumor has it that option may be in the works.

Finally my WM order moved. Now expected 12/30. WM offered a $10 code to apologize. I'm thinking USPS may not be at fault this time.

Still no movement on items I originally posted about. I do have a question/observation to make. Why is it that AMAZON orders continue to arrive on schedule when nothing else seems to move?
Does AMAZON have some kind of contract with USPS? My wife orders a lot of stuff from AMAZON so we have a good feel for how timely their product arrives.

It was sent 2nd day priority delivery and was sent out on the 11th. I received on the 23rd. They must have meant 12 day priority delivery.

Amazon pretty much funds the USPS. Bezos throws the USPS major bucks because of the “last mile “.

The dopey UPS driver delivered my Garrett popcorn to my next door neighbor 2 days in a row. My correct address was clearly marked on the label as well as our house numbers on the house. I saw the guy do it from my living room window. Pretty sure I saw a bong on the dashboard too.

Here is a plot twist.

I have a new driver for the usps driver, he is a huge improvement from the last.

The cheapest way to get stainless 316 fittings and bolts is flat rate packages, it beats out everything but barges. Running around several thousand pounds worth in the last month. Poor guy has unloaded a lot of weight since November. For the postal workers out there, what's the best nice thing I can do to show my appreciation?

I tip money in a Christmas card every year and have yet have one turn me in to the authorities. She doesn't need any cookies.

I had a package with post mark December 3, which finally made it yesterday. From Gnu Yawk to south Texas - nearly two months !! . Package had no damage or evidence of neglect. Just put down and left somewhere. Tracking said it should have been delivered December 8. Incredible.

The seller had sent me a refund three weeks ago. I just sent him the payment back last night. Aggravating to say the least.
