Another CZ American --

After looking around a bit, the only one I found that still had some of the CZ 452 Americans was Bud's. I already have one, best shooting rifle I own, but for some reason I thought a back up would be a good idea-- I know we may have another discovery of more 452 Americans but why wait -- $472 is more than fair for a gun of this quality. How many others have decided to grab another of these Americans before they really are gone ? ................ John

Since Nov. 2016 I have bought six (6) 452 American rifles in 22lr. Gave three to my nephews in Arkansas. Have one for my nephew here in Maryland. One with great fiddleback wood in the safe and one set up for hunting. Hopefully there will be a grandchild or two to hand these to down the road.

If you want another 452 American, grab one while you can. I'm holding out for a 457 MTR.

Earlier in the Summer I got the Grand Finale. Soon I realized I really didn't want it to see much use in the woods or wherever. Didn't take much to convince myself I needed another 452 and found Bud's with a few at that price. So back in September I got one from Bud's. Nothing special about the furniture on it, just some nice Turkish Walnut.

When in doubt, buy another rifle.
I suspect I'm not the only one around here to maintain that policy.

My collection has always been rather small, usually due to with the illness I have, my system can't handle any recoil, so as a result it's the 22's only for me-- so I've had several of the CZ's and a Ruger or two along with a nice Browning T-bolt, [terrible trigger]-- The Rugers are dependable and built strong but not up to the CZ level of accuracy. As I've stated before, the CZ American just looks "right". Good wood, nice metal finish and an easily adjustable trigger, well worth the money.

I have two step sons that I'm very proud of and the two Americans will go to them when the time comes, so both are wearing Nikon Buckmaster scopes in Warne rings and are identical-- I don't even have the second one yet so have no idea what the wood might be like. I plan to thoroughly enjoy both for as long as I'm able --

John

There was another place not long ago that seemed to have a fair stock of them as well, but the name escapes me right now. They kept releasing them in groups of ten at a time.

Anybody remember what shop it was, and do they still have any left?

Glad I'm not the only one who wants one.

I enjoyed my 452 American so much that I picked up a new one as a backup just in case I ever lost the first. A classy walnut and blued steel 22 sporter will never go out of style.

GrabAGun.com is showing 452 Americans (RH) in stock. Whittaker's, where I bought mine last year, is out. Looks like Buds has them also. Any rimfire collection needs to include one of these. The supply seems to be diminishing but who knows. My 452 American is my favorite .22 of all the ones I own.

You mean the People's Republic of Maryland will still allow its subjects to own .22 RF bolt action rifles? Apparently things haven't gotten quite as bad as where they seemed to be heading when I left 15 years ago, after putting up with them for 33 years.

Currently spending most of my time with my 452 Varmint but...

I picked up a 452 American from Whittaker a couple of months ago to be my designated Rimfire Sporter Match queen

With a light AO scope and her light barrel, she'll help me avoid weight issues for those events; she doesn't have her own scope yet but I have my eye on an older gloss Leupold.

With the current season just about over, I'm in no rush but definitely have high hopes and am looking forward to a new adventure in 2019.

Ordered one from Buds. Waiting for it to ship. Wish I had not waited so long to get a CZ.
