Trigger not resetting

Newer 10/22 target model, after 3or so magazines the trigger is not resetting . Took it apart , cleaned and same thing. All different ammo, sv, mini mags, and so on. At my wits end . If someone has an idea of what is happening please help....

When it happens, will it reset when you push the trigger forward?

Does the trigger have an overtravel or pretravel screw? If it does one of the screws are probably not adjusted correctly.

There's a nice video of how your trigger works here:

https://www.rimfirecentral.com/forum...57&postcount=1

The entire video is worth watching, but the actual functioning portion is between 10:30 and 13:00.

If the hammer is not cocking during your failures, something is up with the spring between the disconnector and sear. If it's cocking okay, check the spring and plunger behind the trigger. That's why rawhp was asking about the trigger getting pushed forward.

2 Springs that often get swapped by mistake are the trigger return (longer) and the disco/sear spring (shortest).. check that...

NOW may be a great time to step up to a KID KIT = http://www.coolguyguns.com/KIDD-Trig...lade_p_95.html
