Hmm... Imagine that!

I came over to the CZ board because I had been reading about using a CZ in a BR Stock in Sproter Class Benchrest.
And see pictures of a Beautiful Rifle, made to order for the job.

Very nicely done! I too would like to know what model you converted.
I see Don Stith inlets a Sporter stock for the CZ.
This just may have pushed me over the edge!
Rickyo you feel guilty now?

Hey Jim,

Not at all my friend, I'm planning on shooting in Ennis, Texas this weekend with my little American 452 against some big name custom rimfires, I shoot a custom Time Action, but now I'm going to play with the CZ.
Besides, its fun, the stock color was what I ordered so that come squirrel season this year, look out, it will be in the woods!
Here's another pic of it in the rest ready to go! Also changed the scope to a Weaver 36X for targets!

Wish you luck in your building of your CZ! They are great little guns!

WoW ! Rick Thats a nice set-up!

The rest sure makes my Cauldwell Rock look pretty crummy.
Was that something you built or did you buy it?
I might be missing something here, does the post pivot off the rear push screws or does the plate pivot around the post?
I know that rest is not legal for some sanctioning bodies(ARA is not one of them) but it sure would be nice for testing.
No ARA shot in Iowa.
And your gonna love that new scope.
Good Luck in Texas!

CZ Makeover

Rick,my local shop has one of these in the rack.I have looked at it several times and backed away because it is not very handsom out of the box. I can now see they have great possibilities. If you don't mind how much did you pay for the origanal rifle so I can make sure my shop isn't upcharging.

See you are down there in Church Point.Used to travel Cajun Country a bunch visiting paper mills before I became retarded. Know any Sonnier's in Church Point.Know one that's a driller.

CZ make over,

Jim, you're right, the rear screws do all the moving while the front post stays still.I use this rest in ARA and some of the Unlimited classes in other games. The USBR & ARG groups which can be found on Benchrest.com has all of the different games listed on their home page, you might find something close to you that you like! James Pappas builds these 1 piece rest in Dallas-Fort Worth area and he gets about 650.00 for them. They are very nice indeed.

Don, the 452 American with a very nice trigger job, bore guide, & extra 5 round clip cost me 407.00 out the door including tax. Now with the McMillian stock, bedding job done and rear butt plate, add another 450.00 to the little rifle. The stock was a total soild piece inside which my gunsmith cut to fit the rifle, McMillian will do it for 395.00 + s&h, but the waiting time was 12 weeks, so I ordered a blank from Lester Bruno's Shooting Supply @ 623-587-7641. I got the green fading to black stock color because I also wanting to squirrel hunt with the little rifle, which I think will make a fine squirrel gun. I will put the Sightron 6x24 scope back on come squirrel season, but right now I need the Weaver 36X on it for the tiny targets with these poor eyes of mine!

Also Don, I know some Sonnier's, but I'm a Transplant in Church Point, I was born & raised in South Alabama and worked in La. since the mid 70's and met my wife over here and the rest is history.

Hope everyone has a great weekend coming up!
