You both have impressive collections. I have several, but nothing like that. I have always thought if you bought a rifle you should buy any book that references it.

I have Schwing's books, single shot books, the 52 book and many more, now if I could just find a book on the model 69/69As.

Still an impressive core set of books there dud. And I couldn't agree more, you own a gun, you should have its manual of arms and anything that furthers your knowledge of the gun.

I keep hearing rumors that there's one in the works (JWA, we're anxiously awaiting it).

Interesting thread!

I got to meet Jeff in Cody last year and I enjoyed his company very much. He is, indeed, a very kind man.

You guys have been extremely patient and I apologize this has taken so long but it is nearly done. I will have a draft with me at the Cody show/Winchester Arms Collectors Association meeting in July if anyone is interested. After that it will go for final editing and then off to the publisher.

Here is the lump of draft manuscript I have been lugging around in my suitcase every week for the last year and a half. I will be very happy to be rid of it soon!

As I mentioned in previous posts, you guys here at RFC will be the first notified when it hits the shelves.

Best Regards and thanks for everyone's support!

Yes, THIS is the book I look forward to all of us being able to post on RFC. An instant classic and a definitive work on the workhorse bolt action of the Winchester 22 lineup. I know how hard JWA has been working on this thing, and I will definitely have to report on my signed copy.

Walnut Bill,
I see I am remiss in missing an important newer work from you. It reminds me that my library of arms will never be complete. Now I'll have to go find myself a copy. I am so glad we have such men as you and Jeff caring enough to put in the incredibly hard work needed to produce a volume on these, our favorite rifles.

22 AGS, we're going to have to do something about that. PM sent.

Wow Jeff, I am already impressed by what you have shown us so far. I would like to be one of the first to order a signed copy. I agree with 22 AGS about it being the workhorse of Winchester's .22 lineup.
I can certainly sympathize with you about wanting to make sure everything is "just right"before submitting it. I guess it's kind of like a mom or dad dropping a kid off at school for the first time.

In Jeff's case, I think it's more like he's driving the whole school bus!!!

Thanks I'll check out the PM when I get home this afternoon!
