Dress up little 917m2

This 917m2 is a great shooter, but the butt ugly stock was just wrong. This revival thumbhole just dressed it up and it will still put 5 cci's into .3's. at 50 yards.

81DL I got around 1962. I think dad paid $18 for it secondhand when I was growing up in PA.

If you will allow me to give some history, to those that may not know how rare those are............

Marlin had a stock offering in 1931. Buy 4 shares for $100 and you could choose a free firearm, as a bonus, from a group of 4 that included the 47. The Model 47 was never a cataloged rifle. It was made special for this stock offering. The "tiger stripe" case coloring was not the traditional Marlin method, but was dipped up and down into liquid cyanide. This was also the only pump that Marlin made that had a checkered stock and forearm.

I bid on a 98% specimen several months ago, but dropped out when it went past $750.
one of them is on Gun Broker to fund smallbore stuff

Try not to boo and hiss too much. I know it's not pretty, but it's the only combination of a Marlin and a pistol grip that I could find.

My wood stock finally came in! Oh yeah, so much nicer than the synthetic that came with my 925R. It has its place, but man I love the 'custom' factory wood stock I ordered. Here's a couple of pix I just snapped. :rad
