McGowen 10/22 barrels. Do they keep up their website? Not sure if they are still in the 10/22 barrel business - or not. May have to call them up to find out. More later. Any members purchased one lately?

OK, so here's what I'll contribute. I put information gathered from various sources into an Excel spreadsheet. I added entries for the various manufacturers that members mentioned in this thread, but haven't populated the data. I added rows for 6 barrel variations per manufacturer as placeholders.

I will wait one week and any information provided by members in this thread will be transferred to the Excel sheet and posted here, or on the existing sticky on barrel information.

I don't want to maintain this spreadsheet forever, so if anyone wants to own that and maintain it, PM me and I'll send over the file. I can help to republish the file to a jpg image, if the new owner needs it, since I had to save/print the file to PDF, and then convert that to jpg for posting here.

If this isn't what you had in mind, I can just scrap the spreadsheet.

I'm kind of interested in weights myself. I noticed that something about the stainless Green Mountains make them heavier than some other brands, but it could be my imagination.

EDIT: Updated based on all previous posts in this thread and information from links provided in posts.
EDIT 10/25/16: Updated based on posts up until 10/25. Only updated for additional brands, details to follow.

Very good idea rawhp! I don't have Excel, but leave it there for a bit as I gather information about the "known brands" of barrels, and their websites. After I gather the basic information and the websites involved, I'm sure this will come in handy. This will be a rather slow process for me, I work 6 days a week and 5 of those are a split shift. I have two children ( both 30 something) and 2 to 3 grandchildren here in school, all living in my home. Yea, everyday is like Christmas. Yep, I'm Paw-Paw, and I run things around here. The washing machine, vacuum, lawn mower, come to mind. haha! Later Gator. ......... AH

Beyer 10/22 barrels. According to the website, it seems like Ultralight is the only offering. Several different finishes are offered, and prices start at $189.

Tactical Innovations 10/22 barrels. This barrel maker has a very good selection to choose from. Easy to surf, and for now all barrels are threaded. Blue, stainless and nitride available. Prices start at about $105.

Shooters Ridge used to make a 10/22 bull barrel but I'm not sure they are still in business.

Same with Rimfire Technologies, they used to make a carbon fibre wrapped barrel, They're still around but no longer do barrels.

Adams & Bennett 10/22 barrels. Not much info here. Most leads read "discontinued", or "out of stock". I've read some of the other threads.. all info there and $10 will get you a good pack of smokes. Reviews are very good. If you have one that has been taken care of properly, chances are you have a darn good barrel. If you have any information / facts about these barrels, please feel free to contribute. ........ AH

Butler Creek 10/22 barrels. Sad but true, these barrels are out of stock or discontinued. Butler Creek website has no mention of barrels.

Power Custom 10/22 barrels. Not sure if this company actually makes barrels, or just offers other makes of barrels. Menu at left of site helps.

Lots of options out there depending on your needs in a barrel, looks, color, style, weight, size and what you expect to get out of the barrel and what you are going to do with it. One person that could provide information as far as performance (benchrest accuracy) would be joechaconiii. Joe is currently building custom 10/22 benchrest guns (ABRA)and has test many different brands and length barrels along with cleaning methods. Maybe Joe or Lisa will read this and post some real world findings that some may get some value from.

Feddersen 10/22 barrels. When the subject of accurate 10/22 barrels are brought up, the reviews speak volumes.
