Trying to figure out how much they can jack up the price and still sell it like flapjacks?

Hope the new ammo shoots good in my 592! Sold the 591. 592 is nicer to carry with no magazine sticking out the bottom.

Rumor has it they aren't making any until 2017 according to a poster on the RFC 5MM Forum who inquired.

New 5mm production
Yesterday I was on the importers site looking for info on the new production date for the Aguilla 5mm ammo. TxAT is the exclusive importer for all Aguilla ammo produced in Mexico. While on their site (tx-at.com )poking around I found a spot that had "frequently asked questions". I clicked and their statement was that the now production for the 5MM has now been moved back to 2017.
I have been looking at their site again today but for the life of me I cannot find the frequently asked questions area again.
Thought I would pass the info on to everyone.

The FAQ is on Aguila's "Contact Us" page - scroll down to the bottom.

Quote from Aguila's FAQ~

"Are you still manufacturing 5mm ammunition?

Yes, Aguila still manufactures this very popular 5mm ammunition. However, due to increased .22 rimfire demand, shipments to dealers and distributors have been pushed back to 2017."

I would be happy to have the 30gr back in production, shot mine yesterday with them and smiled all the way home. A 35gr would be great if it shot as well, maybe the new progressive burn powder would be a possibility.

5mm

I got mine out Saturday and killed a couple of grey squirrels. Then shot a coyote at 150 yards. Love that little gun

Out of curiosity what kind of accuracy do you see out of most 5mm with old production Champion ammo? I will have a chance to buy a 591 this weekend with several boxes of ammo but I don't know what to expect. Already have some great shooting 22mags and 17hm2's.

Thanks

Glenn

The most recently produced 5mm ammo was mfg by Aguila and sold as Centurion brand in two versions. There was 30gr brass jacketed lead HP and varmint 30gr streamlined jacketed HP. Generally, it all shot as well or better than 22WMR but faster and hit harder.
