Well I am doing my part to keep the Bmag and the 17 wsm alive and kicking.

My buddy just bought a K series Bmag in stainless.

I just picked up a K series Bmag 17 with the Boyd Beaver stock and black fluted bull barrel.

Bought 600 rounds of ammo (all three brands in 20 and 25.

Plan to tweek them both.
- Shoot them stock 5 shot groups
- glass bed both
- Shoot more
- Then try a rubber barrel tuner to see if there is any more accuracy to be gained. (yes those goofy things work)

Goal is to be under 1 MOA at 100 yards.

His neighbor with a 17 HMR read all the early neg reviews on how bad Bmags shot and said he would clean our clocks in a shoot off.

Oh I'm taking his challenge. And I'll put the targets out at least 150- 200 yards. He is going to struggle hard. Oh and I pray for a little side wind too

Thar she blows. Thats a made for Savage Boyd beaver tail stock.

Browning leather sling

El Cheapo Clive 6-24x (really 4-15x) scope ($32.00 on Amazon)

On the end is a LimbSaver Sharpshooter X-Ring Barrel Dampener for Bull Barrels. Have not shot with it on. They are suppose to reduce fliers by dampening the vibrations.

Bi Pod a 15.00 UTG. Actually works well.

I'm waiting on a order to try a first focal plane scope. Pretty cheap for that type of scope.

Best looking .17 wsm I've encountered so far, if it shoots half as good as it looks I'll be very happy.

Agreed, that is a looker. High quality and simple.

If you like good looking 17 WSM you better not look here.

New B-Mag

Scored a new Savage B-Mag Sporter from a local gun raffle!

Added a Bushnell 6-18x40 Rimfire series scope w/med rings, bedded, touched up barrel crown chamfer...

Haven't had the opportunity to shoot it yet, hopefully it will produce some decent groups.

I have one exactly like yours and it shoots very well I don't shoot more than three rounds at a time because they heat up fast and I clean mine after 30 or 40 shots my accuracy starts to drop off.

100 yard target. This is probably average. Sometimes a little better, sometimes not quite as good.

Ruger 17 WSM
Boyds stock (pillars and bedding)
JARD 1.5 lb trigger
Shilen .920 straight barrel
Bolt work, barrel & trigger installation by Connecticut Precision Chambering
