Nice lookin' blasters. Picked up a HB fluted combo at Cabelas today. I already ordered a Boyd stock for it. How was the stock install for you? Any tips? Prolly be a month before I can dial it in. Iowa winter don'tcha know. Shelves were fully stocked with 17wsm ammo, no limit. Gonna be tuff waitin' to get out. Pics when it's ready.

The stock was decent fit, just a little filing in the magazine cavity to get the magazine to snap into place.

I have the same twisted bulb in my clamp light. "Everything" is within arms reach in your area, I'm gonna have to work on mine.

I just got a sale paper from a local gun store where the B mag is on sale for $199.99 with a $25.00 mail in rebate. They are saying list is $339.00. I really haven't heard much good about these rifles but at $174.99 I'm sure willing to take a chance. Is this a good price on these rifles?

Been very few range tests of 1 in 8" twists so far using both bullet weights, shivering has a bad effect on accuracy too. South westerners and southerners should be posting some non shaking target results soon. The 1 in 8" should be more available by now.

Posted on another varmint hunting site..........

"Many may already know, just an FYI update:

I called Savage today re the B Mag 17 WSM Target model listed on their website. This is what I was told.
*Comes with a Boyd's thumb hole stock
*No other color options
*Twist : 1/8
*Recommended load: 25g
*MSRP $566
*Same as the heavy stainless barrel (MSRP $425) just with the Boyd's stock
*Bolt and group same as stainless model
*Magazines have new spring to improve feeding
*New model will be widely available by late March, sooner in some places"

If this is true not sure why they would go to 25 over 20 ???
