Kaynine, could you post your pictures in the Sticky? I for one will want to reference the pre-war in the future. Hopefully we will encourage others to post pictures of their KK Walther rifles.

Fantastic rifles guys!

Hmmm... strange, but mine does not seem to have that longer screw that hangs down.

This is a little more recent, just prior to the hiatus in Walther KK production and the intro. of the KK200 and 300. Manual and test target describe this as a KK Match and not a GX-1 as I would have expected. I purchased this rifle directly from McDougall Imports in Victoria,BC,Canada.

Next photo shows how the forend splits horizontally to attain a lower prone

Patchett's GX-1

Andrew,

Thank you for posting your excellent GX-1 photos here and in the Walther "Show Me" thread. What a lovely piece of equipment.
I treasure my UIT Special as a great shooter, and my KKM looks a lot better since the stock refinishing, but the GX-1 has to be the classic showpiece of the Walther line.
I get to see one up close when I visit the nearby NRA museum in Fairfax, but I suspect that, now being retired,
I will not get any closer than that to a GX-1. The photos help a lot though!

Love that Walther KK Match. A beautiful rifle, and I have little doubt that it's capable of some very fine accuracy. Thank you Patchett for sharing it us with us.

I am pleased to know there are others who share my appreciation for these rifles. I fear with how busy I am shooting my others that the KKM's accuracy will remain a secret for some time. Maybe I'll christen it on Malcolm Cooper's birthday.

Andrew, I fear you wont be able to shoot that thing worth a crap if you do. You'll be too stressed out from worrying about marring it when putting the sights on.

I have shifted this month to updating my maintenance 'junk'. Rather than start a new thread, this one seems to have the appropriate peoples attention already.
Does anyone know of a bore guide offered for these rifles?

Eric Sinclair of Possum Hollow makes a bore guide for these Walthers.
