One more ....

Hi All,

After getting .223, 357, 38SPL, 9MM it was time to get a 22LR and after some mental debates as to which manufacturer take-down to buy....the 10/22 won

Anyways...for months I've been wanting to get a black version but not even a chance (checking daily with no avail). So, I took it upon myself to get it blackened. I got it Cerakoted and I was blown away how good the paint job is. Just sharing my new babe.

Cheers all...

Barrel shortened & threaded fora suppressor. Scout scope was just mocked up for the pics but I'll be having the barrel machined for it soon.

Might switch to XS sights also as the aperture on the tech sights is a bit small for me.
I like that a lot. Pretty much how I would set one up. Shortened threaded barrel and Tech Sights. How do you plan to mount the scope on the barrel?

To be honest, I have quite a few 10/22's; I really enjoy them. I even have a couple with folding stocks, however they are still a bit large to conceal on my ATV. I have a house in the desert where I can pretty much drive from my garage straight out through town to ride. It is much easier for me to strap the take down on the front and go, then to try and cover up the folders. No hate on the folders, I love them too, but this just works much better. Glad you enjoyed the pics..

More evolution in lazershooter's Ultimate Adventure Rifle.

I opened up the bolt release for easy activation.....cause my old fingers fumble a lot....

I added more radius to the bottom of the bolt for more reliable operation when firing standard and sub-sonic ammo....

And I just finished this paracord sling.....my fingers have the blisters to prove it.

The paracord sling is a must for an adventure rifle. I never know when I might need to unravel that cord and use it to rappel down the face of Seneca Rocks or build a make shift snare to trap a grizz or help some poor old lady across a busy street. It may come in handy some day but for now I just think it looks good on the rifle.

Who knows where this rifle will end up when I'm finished........I sure don't......but it sure is fun getting there.

+1 Nice looking TD.

I'm thinking about having a spare beech carbine stock cut down for a TD. The guy local will do it for $85 shipped back to me. I'd have to strip it myself. I'm thinking about refinishing it in walnut and then putting on glossy truoil resin/finish on it. Mine's in jail right now but I'll start gathering parts and working on it in the new year. It's sort of a birthday present to myself.

I was also thinking about:

* silver trigger housing w/ trigger work.
* looking for suggestions on a good silver scope that's compact also.
