Is there such a thing as a 740 T, or did they mean 640 T instead? .22 magnum, bolt action, detachable magazine, hammerless.

Think the Model numbers are incorrect.
No Model 640T that I know of. There was a 640K
No Model 740T either. No 700 series of rifles that i know of.

I will be darn. In 26 yrs of setting up at gunshows I never seen a 640T.
Where did you find the info on the 740T? As I never seen a 700 series 22 rifle.

700 New Haven series for the 600 series Mossbergs.
400 New Haven series for the 300 series Mossbergs.
600 New Haven series for the 500 series Mossbergs except for the 400 series Mossbergs (Pump Shotguns) (479 30/30)
900 New Haven series for the 800 series Mossbergs.(800/810 CF)
200 New Haven series for the 100 series Mossbergs (Shot Guns only I think)

I'm pretty sure the "T" models came with a factory installed scope.

740?

I know this is an old post, I came across this in hopes of getting an idea of what my New Haven, by Mossberg, 740T was worth.
New Haven, by Mossberg, 740T is what is on the barrel along with Ac-kro-gruv & .22 magnum - WMR.
Mine has a Mossberg rear peep sight (S330) & hooded front sight.
The rear dovetail has a blank installed & the hooded sight is screwed on. Looks to be a factory job. But I find no reference to these sight options installed.
I know the Mossberg model is 640k, but no mention of a T model or peep sight arrangement.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I think someone just installed those sights on it. In good shape I'd think 200.00. More if in better shape. Mags sell higher than their .22LR versions. Oh, the current Savage 22 Mag/17HMR mags fit. I have the Westernfield version. It,s in new condition. Heres a link when I found it.

I agree with $200 for average condition. As condition improves so does the price. The T could indicate target sights?

More information available on the Havlins website about the 640T variant of the 640K .22WMR. The 640T (and the corresponding 740T New Haven) is a late production economy version of the standard rifle, but I don't think it was offered with any special target sights, just think the T designation identified the cheaper stock. Basic action/trigger and barrel are all the same throughout that line.
