let me get this thread back on track.

here are two of mine....i have a third, another 591, that i haven't seen in almost 2 years. apparently eagle view arms has had trouble rebarreling it. thats a whole other fiasco though.

the 591 is wearing a 2-7 leupold and the 592 has a 3-9 leupold.

the 591 was a little project for me and was the first attempt of refinishing and checkering. it has a schroeder bolt head also, but the rimfire bolthead is in now.

the 592 has no blueing on it. the steel was polished to a chrome finish bc it was going to be reblued but i think it looks neat the way it is. no it doesn't rust easy, the polish is quite fine. it also has the certech cf bolt head in it but i have the rimfire pin in there now.

Different kind of grain in the 592. humb:
I took the blueing off my 597-17HMR barrel for a different look. It has a bead blast finish, matt, so I didn't mess with it other than rubbing out one tiny scuff mark towards the muzzle.

You have to use a picture hosting site like Photobucket. Load the photo to photobucket and then click on the IMG code and it should copy. Then come to your post here and paste the IMG.

We were playing around in the Rimfire Community forum with Photoshop, and changing the color of pistols. Al said his favorite color was green, and while he has posted many fine air rifles, I knew he had to have a picture of his 5mm here. I used that as my canvas.

May I present to you Al's 5mm in Caldwell Green. He said is also matches his GTX.

Just started here and found this thread, useto see those 591's at gun shows and swaps..cheap...but couldn't figure out why someone would want a rifle that had no ammo available....BTW They caught my eye because they were the splitting image of my 581...AAHH if I'd only known then what I've learned today...

Well the ammos here in two new flavors and lots of the original still floating around, if that way you want. Time to start looking for a rifle.

Can't lose the picture thread seeing this forum is trimmed so frequently.

Modeling clay shot with white box @ 30 yds. Bugs were chewing me a new one, sweat running in my eyes, shot left handed with a good wind blowing, and the clay was smeary at 82, hence this is all there is for my very brief test. Bits of clay were blown up to 7' away.

Slug looked very good after 5 1/2" penetration into a quite firm medium. I wouldn't hesitate to take a boiler room shot at a wolf with this performance.

When I reset with the other block of clay it wasn't square to me shooting with the Varmint, hit on an angle. About 4-4 1/2" penetration with the most loss of clay due to splattering.
I wouldn't hesitate shooting a coyote with yellow box either.
