Parts for CM 2?

A friend was looking at used CM 2 in "good" condition sold by CDNN for $280. Are parts available for these rifles, and if so what are the sources. Assuming the rifles are in descent shape and barrel not shot out, would this be a good starter target rifle? What are the downsides?

Ditto on Swiss response about being a good starter target rifle. It is unlikely a rimfire barrel that has been on a steady diet of target velocity ammo is going to have a barrel that is shot out.

I know of only one CM-2 that had bad barrel. There was huge loose spot in the middle of the barrel. The fellow returned it CDNN for an exchange.

More Rimfire barrels are ruined by bad cleaning techniques then anything.
