Thanks for the number. That is one I did not have. I assume this is a commercial gun, and not a U.S. marked rifle? Did you install the stock?

Nice looking rifle. Have one that has the same styling so to speak. https://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums...9&postcount=15 My S/N 119693D, that should be in the data base. Gave the info to George a couple of years ago.

Thanks for the number. That is a new one for the data base. I assume this started life as a commercial gun and not a CMP (U.S. marked) receiver? Do you know if it was a std wt or hvy wt barrel originally?
I am finding there are quite a number of std wt D's. Many more than I had originally guessed. Many of the commercial guns I'm seeing these days have the std wt barrels. Of course all the CMP guns were heavy wts, so total production of D's skews largely in favor of the heavy weight barrel rifles.
Did a little calculating, and based on production numbers available to me(commercial production), it look's like around 18% were standard weight versions.

I'm unsure of the history, I just purchased it last month. I then purchased the C target W/ bull.

Seewin;
I've got a couple of # for you.A couople months ago i bought a 52E that looked like new ,no papers or box ,thegun looks like it's never had sights on it ,it's a commercial with marksman stocks ,SN#E124791. About 1 year ago i bought a 52D it came with a very nice ,Redfeild International peep sight with adjustable iris on the back and a very nice Globe front sight,marksman stock,it had very little use,SN#108748. I've had three gun dealers tell me they are in 99% original condition . I'm very pleased to own them

Steve, feel free to add my 52-D info to your data-base.

S\N 122033D. It is a commercial heavy target (.875 at muzzle, appears to be a staight taper, chamber is larger o.d.). It has a 28" barrel as measured from the rear of the chamber. The barrel is D&T'd for scope blocks and front sights. The reciever is D&T'd for scope bases. The crown is flat and in the white. The stock is a thumbhole custom of some unknown origin. The bluing on the gun is the gloss blue and it looks almost new. The bolt is not serial numbered, is also gloss blue, but for some "unknown reason" does show some signs of wear. The gun was purchased with blocks, no sights and no scope in 2000 for $400.00. Needless to say; I would love to buy about 10 more at that price; regardless of stock configuration and condition. Here is a picture, but not my best work! Thanks Steve for all that you do for RFC.

Vertfish,
Thanks for the new D number. Your stock appears to be a Fajen. I have a couple of new ones just like it.
