Shooting from a chair with sticks or a tall bipod is HARD! I did a doubletake when I looked at your setup, I thought it was a centerfire for a moment, your stock camo threw me!
We still haven't finalized the game or the targets, Chromie came up with the idea originally & he was trying the target you used which has 1" kill zones. The Squirrel Popper target has 1.25" kill zones. Kami made this one
which has 6 Dogs with 1" kill zones http://komitadjie.googlepages.com/Pr...ogTarget6x.pdf
It's good practice for hunting, isn't it?

Ya the chair blind is a bit different from a shooting stand point.

But is quite effective.

Well I just play a long for now. Maybe well get some excitment....LOL

Man that's pretty good with a .22! I would have thought of using a shot gun! P.S. check your e-mail.

Thanks Chromie & 1FJEF
The CZ Scout was selected because of the short barrel for the tight space in the chair blind.
I have under $300 in the rifle not counting the scope.
Pheasant hunting with a .22 in Mn is legal but belive me its not the norm..LOL
Shot guns & dogs is the norm.....run & gun....but is the most productive fur-shure.
The rules state that you may use a pistol or rifle but only .22 S,L, or LR maybe used.
But....NO .22M or any RF.17's or CF. Its very close to hunting turkeys.
It took me 3 years to bag that one....but that is what I am after the challenge
of the hunt & fall is my favorite time of the year. I also always take the camera.

I would rather eat a pellet free pheasant & it tast better then
tree rats......to me anyway.

That's an incredible picture. Looks like mosquito territory, are they bad there?

Thats funny......that picture was last year on my way back to the van.
I don't start small game hunting until Oct. here & there is usually a good
hard frost at night.. I am no friend of skeeters & bugs hunting.
Small game opens this month in Mn.

I posted a new target with 6 Dogs. There has been very little interest in this game, so I'm trying a rule change too. Chromie, gmd 1950, fr3db3ar and midwest swiss have been the only ones so far, but I have the second post so I'm going to put some names up, what the heck! Doesn't look like anyones gonna see it anyway!

The new rule change makes it easier (but not a piece of cake) So from the shooting bench at your range, with a bipod & no rear rest is OK.
What do you think?

Count me in also.....But like Mr.gmd1950 fall is a busy time for me.
I have been getting ready to do a little camping & boating.
I built this camp kitchen last month & got my 1988 fishing boat out of storage.... been there for 3 years.

Me & the wife are going camping this weekend & a little boat cruising & maybe a little fishing.
There is 13 lakes that are all connected & 13,660 acres of water to cruise.

Last weekend my daughter was home from collage & wanted me to taker to the rifle range.
Emily likes shooting here favorite .22 rifle the "Biathlon basic
I think I will get to the range a few more times before I start small game hunting.

I may have to sneak this one in. It is on a "rifle" action

Near as I can tell I have not competed with it since 1995 when I was a pretty good shot.
