Hey Clem-E, I already got a few of those certificates, earned that status a couple decades ago(and then some) !

From the image, and what I can remember(which isn't much) I'd say you got an 87-93 Mustang GT( or did you convert an LX as the wheels look a little different from what I remember). Even though I like the performance of the modular V8(4.6 and 5.4L), they never seem to have the nice rumble of the old 5.0, especially when we would take the catalytic converters off and replace them with just a straight H pipe and sonic turbo mufflers.

its a 93 gt w/ 41K miles on it. those are the wheels that where on it when it rolled off the showroom floor at arendale ford in arlington tx 16 years ago. i love how the 4.6 cars sound, more so than the pushrod motors.

Ok,

I did try your Challenge, but forgot to post results. Sowwry.

The view, from prone, 50-yds distant. Take note of the markers I set up - closer one is at 25 yds, the farther back is at 50, next to the platform holding Do-All Bullet Box where I attached target.

The rifle, Savage Mk II .22LR non-Accu-Trigger, Daisy Powerline 3-9x32mm scope set at 3X (figured if I ain't getting many points for higher scope power I'd short-change myself the whole way. Ammo was some Fed 510 I had "Paco'd" into a Wadcutter and SWC shapes (this is the "groundhog gun" I speak of LOL, not the .22Mag though. . .)

And the Target.

I'll give it a whirl one day under different conditions with a different rifle.

A Vostok Ural, open sights, Winchester 333 bulk ammo(36gr HP), shot off a cheap Caldwell plastic rest and rear sandbag. I'm anxious to refinish it, but want to get my scope mount first to see how much wood I'll be removing from the side mount area.

Here's the first target:

I did ok, but was wanting to do better so here's my second:

Made 100, but I'm not too proud of the three other bulls. It was fun, course I then moved out to 100 yards and put 10 shots of the same ammo just under 2" on the fourth target shot. I really need to get some match ammo, just I'm too cheap to spend the cash .

Looks like you got a couple of cloverleafs there babe!

So that score would be 100 - (2.5x2) = 95.

I made up a target that saves time here. Another one with no notations on the target here. I suggest you print one & then photocopy in black & white only, as this color eats your ink up! I take 65lb white or manilla colored paper down to the Kinkos copy place & slip it into the machine (while they aren't looking) and print.

Besides, if you cant shoot this challenge at 8x you might want to make an appointment with an eye doctor.
That may be very true . but if you cant see the target you cant see it . I personaly need higher magnification to see equal to someone who has perfect eye sight . you wouldnt expect someone with a disability of the legs to run the same as a young fit athlete , so why should that be the case for eye problems .

I remember when I was younger I could test & group a rimfire at 50 yards with a 3-9x A.O. Now I need a 4.5-14x to shoot at 25!
Oh, and my Dad is an optometrist. True story!

Well I gave it the old "Girl Scout" try today with my Izhmash Biathlon Basic with factory OEM iron sights.

Not great but have something to build on...LOL This taget is not peep sight friendly.
I am a rookie at iron sights & I forgot that I have to loosen the rear peep when I move the L & R settings....
The rear Russian OEM sight adjustments L-R & Up-down are backwords from USA made peep sights & scopes.
I am sure not going to use my hi-test ammo for a while....

Was fun & will try again, I know the rifle can do it.
Its just up to me.
