Glass and pillar bedded the action and inlet the stock for the floated GM 17" heavy taper. Barrel fit was real tight maybe a little too tight and I'm hoping I didn't distort anything, I guess I'll find out when I shoot it. Froze the Barrel and heated the receiver before assembly too. Finally got the two together by beating the receiver onto the barrel with a lump hammer cushioned by a phone book. I would have sanded down the shank a little but once I got started I was committed, barrel turned in the receiver to align the extractor pretty easily and with no sign of damage though.

Factory stock re contoured and finished. Kidd bolt and trigger, GM HT barrel, Sightron S Tac 4-20 scope, Harris bipod.

Hope you like it. LVT on top.. 28" GM barrel cut to 20" by Randy.
My old carbine I've had since I was a much much younger man.
It to has made the pilgrimage to CPC.

So, did you have to do a lot of sanding on the sporter stock to get that cut down GM barrel to fit?
