Picked this Henry up today at a fun show in a trade (Used but upon disassembly for cleaning, looks to not even have had a box through it, no wear at all on any internal/external parts). Plus my other 22s; Marlin M60s (Brand new...yesterday, and an older one I picked up for $75 a few months ago)

My AKs are pricey to feed at the moment so I think 22 is the way to go for some plinking fun.

Yep. It too was black. Easy to strip and polish, then "harden".

PBG3, the stock front sight is plastic. Magical special ordered the metal sight and made it to fit.

The original front sight was plastic just like the barrel band.
I ordered the front sight and barrel band from Henry to replace the plastic ones.
You have to call them to order.
Not listed on the website.
They were black painted when received.
I striped the paint, polished, and then "Hardened".
I did have to put a small paper shim inside the screw hole of the barrel band to snug up the fit of the forearm stock.
Easy to do.

Looks real good paintball. How did you get the holes to match up just rite? It took me forever and they still are not that close. After looking at the photos again I noticed I messed up on one of the laces (under rather than over). Ill have to re-lace it.

I wonder if left on, will the leather (or suede on mine) cause any problems with the stock (staining, moisture damage)?

I like the real leather. But I dont think I can do the SNOW. We will not even say the S word in south Mississippi.

Pretty much anything permanently in contact with your firearm will create problems with the finish it contacts. I don't know that the wrap on the lever would be a big deal, but I would not store the rifle with the butt wrapped.
