Today, My LGS had a left-hand t-bolt and a 39 Mountie for 700 and 600 respectively as well as a handful of '03 sporters for 350ish.

I'm glad my daughter was with me today, or I might have spent some of her future college funds.

Last weekend I passed on a 513S, a 541T, and a couple others that tickled my fancy.

Guns and tools are addictive.

E.

You missed out on a perfect opportunity to teach her how to spot a good deal on firearms. She is already predisposed to shop. Teach her how to shop for guns.

What kind of condition was the marlin 39 Mountie in?

Lucky Dog, the '03 Springfield sporters seemed to have dried up around here as of a couple years ago .

The Marlin had very little wear for a 1954. Someone removed the rear sight and drilled the barrel and attached a side mounted scope to the barrel.

Seems that would have had the scope too far forward for good eye relief.
And dropped the value considerably.

I hate that. I have a really nice Winchester 63 that would be collectible except for that.
