Brownells reciever

I ordered a Brownells reciever with a 10 inch barrel. I told the ffl guy I sent it to I wanted to register it as a charger, he said he would have to register it as what reciever said. So how do I go about getting it registered as a charger pistol?

Since I don't know if you have any state / local rules that apply I'll stay with the ATF rules.

The form must list the brand, model and serial number as shown on the item. If it is not a complete firearm, such as stripped receiver that can not be loaded and fired as is, it is listed as "Other" on the form.

Yes, you can.

Built a Charger that way, but I used a Tactical Innovations receiver---same thing though.

One good thing about being built as a pistol 1st is that you can convert it to a rifle, and back to a pistol if you want to.

Once you built it as a rifle in its 1st inception you cannot convert it to a pistol without SBR paperwork/stamp though.
